TOPIC: The overlap of hoof care & veterinary science
SPEAKERS: Simon Curtis, Hans Castelijns, Simon Moore
There is an eternal triangle of farrier, vet, and owner; each side of this is essential. The more that we understand each other’s different knowledge and skill sets, the better it is for the horse and owner.
We all know that good communication is the secret to business success. It is also a way to reduce conflict and frustration in our everyday work. It is important that veterinary professionals know what hoof care specialists can achieve, but also what the limits are. This reduces unreasonable expectations and allows for a smoother relationship between vets, farriers, trimmers, and owners/trainers. A mutual respect for each other and understanding of skills and knowledge can only benefit all parties.
This webinar will follow our usual format, with lectures from three speakers. You will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to all of them. We will also have our usual quiz, scavenger hunt and discussions, plus the video is emailed to you with additional materials and papers for further learning. As usual, you can rewatch multiple times, rewind and pause your video, and learn more on each viewing. Watch and learn from anywhere in the world, while earning CE/CPD points!
